What Dashpadd Is
Dashpadd is a collection of guides for turning old tablets into useful parts of your home. We cover the ideas (what to use it for), the setup (how to make it work), and the day-to-day (how to keep it running).

What We Believe
Reuse over replace. Millions of tablets end up in drawers or landfills when they still have years of useful life. Every guide on this site gives one of those devices a job.
Simple over complex. If a setup takes two hours and a computer science degree, most families won’t do it. We focus on solutions that take 15 minutes and actually stick.
Honest over promotional. We tell you what works and what doesn’t. If an app has dropped support for older iPads, we say so. If a mount isn’t worth the money, we say that too.
Family-first. These are household tools, not tech projects. The goal isn’t to impress – it’s to be useful every day.
The Old iPad Problem
